Clearwater River - Our Summer time Swimming Hole

I was hoping to send you all a picture
of snow - but maybe next week - it is showing up further down the
mountains all of the time.  The above is where we go swimming in the
summer- about 15 minutes from home.

When it gets this time of year it is a
very good time to reflect on what you accomplished in 2008 and what you
want to accomplish  in 2009.  We mentally can give ourselves a
clean slate -  a fresh start.

In preparation for this I am going back
t my old email format of sending in html and sharing more of my life
experiences, and my own trials and tribulations.

Today I want you to reflect back on
what were some of the things that worked for you online, and some of the
things that did not.  What I find si many of members fall into the
trap of is spending time/money and efforts on tasks that really do not
further their business.

As complicated as all of the guru’s
want to make it - a online business boils down to three simple thing.

Focus on the Basics - Your Online Business

If your goal is to earn money online - then treat it like a business. It is quite simple when you look at it correctly.

1-You have a website or an affiliate website you want to promote

2-You drive traffic to that website

3-You convert the visitors that come to the website into revenue

That is all there is to it - everything else is fluff

Now of course, each of these 3 steps can be greatly expanded - but my point is that you always keep these 3 steps in mind - they will not change. So anytime that next best thing comes your way - ask yourself - does this product help me accomplish these 3 objectives. Many products or services will…… but most will not.

It is a question I ask myself often - “Does this action - or thing I am about to do - does it bring me closer or further from my goals - my immediate objectives?” If it does then do it - if it does not - then skip it. This simple question will keep you focused on what is important.

Step One is a given - if we are talking about an online business. It is step 2 and 3 that you need to be focused on.

Step 2 - driving traffic, can be accomplished by search engine optimization, articles, links, blogs, emails, pay per click, etc.

Step 3 - Converting visitors into revenue - by far the best way is to capture an email so you can follow up with the visitor - provide them more free and paid information that they came to your site in search of.

Once you have captured an email it is much simpler to help and contact the visitor and promote yours or an affiliates product. But converting the visitor to revenue also involves copywriting, adsense revenue, affiliate revenue, etc.

So in the future concentrate on:

1-Marketing/driving traffic to your website

2-Converting the visitors into lists and/or revenue

Think back of what you did this year
and ask yourself did those activities you spent most of your time doing
focus on the above two items - or was it on something else?

If I spend time promoting my websites -
I find I get more traffic and sales

When I spend my time doing everything
but promoting my website - my traffic stays the same or drops off.

This is precisely the reason I built Traffic
Tactics Gold
- to provide each of you with a step by step process
that provides you literally hundreds of ways to promote your
website.  I am a do what I say - guess what software I use to promote
my sites with?

One of the members sent this to me this
week:

“just
wanted to give you a quick testimonial! I had a small affiliate website
that was previously ranking on page 1 of Google, in the #2 or #3 position
for a few weeks.

For some reason, it dropped off the first page and fluctuated between page
2 and page 3 for a few weeks.

I followed just the basic initial steps in Traffic Tactics Gold and I
found my site back on the first page of Google last week, in the #2
position. Today I checked it and found it in the #1 position! I am
actually sitting in #1, directly above the product owner, who is a very
large, major player in my niche.

Thanks for your great product and your great information. Your strategies
and tutorials really work :)”  Curt Snow

I personally
put up in the last couple weeks 13 new websites - I have over 50 page 1
google listings already - It is almost funny when I see my listing #4 out
of 14 million websites - and I just put it up………………

What can I say
- it works!  http://www.traffictacticsgold.com

AND it
addresses the #2 item of the three simple things…..

So this next
week -  think about what you want to accomplish next year - and how
you can make it the best year of your life!!!!!

Have a Great
Weekend!
